Haida Gwaii

I had a decades-long desire to travel to Haida Gwaii and finally fulfilled it in June, 2012. The islands are north of Vancouver Island and a seven hour ferry ride straight west from Prince Rupert. It was a commitment to get there, but the environment was visually stunning and so worth the effort! We spent 5 days on the north island and travelled from top to bottom focusing on the rain forests and shorelines of this extraordinary visual environment.
