Printing on 100% cotton rag papers elevates a photograph to a true art object. Unlike wood pulp papers, cotton rag is acid-free and inherently stable, offering exceptional archival longevity—often measured in centuries rather than decades. The fibres hold pigment with remarkable precision, allowing for a wider tonal range, deeper blacks, and subtle gradations that are critical in fine art photography, particularly in black and white work. The surface characteristics create a tactile presence that reinforces the physicality of the print, inviting a closer and more intimate viewing experience.
The prints carry both visual authority and material integrity—an essential combination for work intended for galleries, collections, and long-term cultural relevance.

Washi Prints
Handmade Washi prints occupy a rare space where photography and material craft converge. The surface of each sheet introduces is both resilient and exquisitely sensitive to ink. The result is not simply an image on paper, but an image within paper: tonal transitions deepen, blacks settle with a soft authority, and highlights retain a luminous, almost breathable quality. Subtle irregularities in the sheet—deckled edges, gentle variations in fiber density—ensure that no two prints are identical, reinforcing the work as a singular object rather than a reproducible commodity.
For collectors, Washi prints offer a level of presence that standard substrates cannot replicate. Paired with archival pigment processes, these works are the pinnacle of fine photography.
