The Calgary Herald - Gargoyles

The Calgary Herald Gargoyles were crafted in 1912/13 by Mark V. Marshall of the Royal Doulton China Company. The gargoyles were caricatures of the newspapers’ employees including the “Editor”, “Type -Setter”, “Stenographer” and others. They were created in honour of the hard work and dedication of the employees of the Calgary Herald newspaper.
