This is one of the first images I shot once we arrived on the island of Haida Gwaii. We had stopped in Masset to stock up and then went on a short hike on a trail near the village. Within our first few steps on the trail the density and lushness was evident and I can remember being excited in the anticipation of what we’d be seeing over the next days.
